Rough Trade x Antony Szmierek: 'Decoding Birdsong' Live + Signing

Rough Trade Berlin is very excited to present a live performance and signing by Antony Szmierek. This unique event celebrates the release of their new album 'Decoding Birdsong', released via Mushroom.

Tickets for this event also include a physical copy of the new album on your format of choice, which can be collected from Rough Trade Berlin on the day of release, Friday, 21st August 2026, or on the night of the show.

'Decoding Birdsong' is many things. It’s Antony wondering: “What are the consequences of luck?” It’s also him turning the lens onto the music industry itself – its imbalances and gatekeeping which often leaves young, working class musicians on the outside looking in. But at the same time it’s a genuine celebration of fortune: of pinching himself to be travelling the world, and doing what he loves. “Writing music is such a powerful thing,” Antony says. “It’s a shortcut to get to know somebody.”
