Rookie Festival 2026

The Rookie Festival is a regional newcomer music festival with a strong focus on the local music scene and is organized and implemented by the Kultur Impuls Sendenhorst e.V. association.

Local bands from the area surrounding the town of Sendenhorst are offered a professional platform to present themselves to a larger audience.

On Friday, 10.07.2026 and Saturday, 11.07.2026, 5 young bands will present themselves in a music
face a top-class and professional jury as part of a music competition. The winning band will be specially honored and will receive professional band coaching as a prize.

Non-cash prizes in the form of vouchers will also be given to all participants. Special attention will be paid to up-and-coming female talent in order to encourage greater support. All genres are welcome and there are no musical boundaries.

The jury will once again be made up of nationally and internationally renowned music stars, who will give the festival the necessary charisma and professionalism. Christof Steinschneider, guitarist of Fury in the Slaughterhouse, and former Evanescence guitarist Jen Majura have already announced their participation for 2026.
