Roma-Ball-Konzert // Jubiläum: 10 Jahre Romano Than

As part of the 13th Djelem Djelem Art and Culture Festival in Dortmund, the Roma Ball concert is a very special highlight: It also celebrates the 10th anniversary of Romano Than e.V. 

For a decade, the association has been committed to raising the visibility of, promoting the participation of, and empowering Romnja, Roma, Sinti, and Sintizze in the Ruhr region. The anniversary concert invites everyone to celebrate the milestones we’ve reached together, the challenges we’ve overcome, and the networks of solidarity that have grown. 

The festival is conceived as an inclusive, intersectional, and open space—by us, for us, and together with the wider community: music, dance, and artistic expressions offer vivid insights into the diverse Roma culture in the Ruhr region and create 

space for exchange and getting to know one another.

The band “Amen Roma” will provide the music. The three professional musicians blend traditional Roma sounds with modern influences to create a rousing concert experience. A powerful statement of self-determination, solidarity, and a vibrant sense of community identity.
