Rassismus: Was muss ich wissen? Was kann ich tun?

For anyone who wants to take a stand against discrimination: What do I need to know about racism? What can I do to combat discrimination? Prof. Dr. Karim Fereidooni from Ruhr University Bochum will provide answers to these questions on October 11.
The lecture, part of the “Reden von morgen” (Talks of Tomorrow) series, will focus primarily on two key questions: What do I need to know? What can I do? The first question clarifies concepts and findings, while the second examines opportunities for action in everyday life and at work. “We don’t have a lack of knowledge; we have a lack of action,” says Fereidooni, summarizing his central thesis and calling for consistent government action.
The event offers concrete guidance on how to respond to discrimination. Practical examples from education and public administration illustrate where anti-racist action is evident.
Prof. Dr. Karim Fereidooni is a professor of didactics in social science education at Ruhr University Bochum.
