QUEER IT UP Freiburg

Colorful, loud, and empowering: QUEER IT UP regularly brings queer vibes, rousing music, and dazzling performances to Freiburg. Organized by Rosa Hilfe e.V. at the Waldsee, each event has its own theme (sometimes playful, sometimes political, but always with heart and conviction). We create a space for community, diversity, and exuberant celebration in a safe environment.

Here’s what you can expect:

• A rotating lineup of DJs to set the right mood on the dance floor
• Live performances and drag shows on stage
• An open, diverse community and space for networking
• A unique theme and rotating activities

• Admission: Solidarity-based pricing system (€5 / €9 / €14)

Solidarity-based pricing structure: QUEER IT UP is organized 100% by volunteers. All proceeds go directly toward the party, fair compensation for artists, a professional awareness team, and the charitable work of Rosa Hilfe e.V. To ensure the party remains accessible to everyone, you choose your admission price based on your own assessment and without having to justify it:

• Social Ticket (€5): For people on a tighter budget, to lower barriers to entry.
• Standard Ticket (€9): The usual base price to minimally cover party costs.
• Community Ticket (14 €): A voluntary solidarity contribution for anyone who can actively support the event, fair artist fees, and more affordable tickets for others.

Awareness & Safe Space: It’s important to us that everyone feels comfortable and safe. At every event, a visible and approachable awareness team is there for you in solidarity. There’s no place here for discrimination or boundary violations!
