Design and create your own porcelain mug.

Porcelain is the diva of ceramic materials—delicate, demanding, and exceptionally beautiful. In this intensive workshop, you’ll develop your own casting mold and use it to cast two unique mugs.

Day 1

• Developing an idea or working from a template
• Sketching / Form Development
• Introduction to materials and tools
• Beginning the plaster mold

Day 2

• Completion of the mold
• Sawing, filing, sanding
• Casting Two Cups
• Preparation for drying and firing

We’ll guide you through every step together—no one is left on their own.

• No prior drawing experience required

Small groups, max. 6 participants

• Saturday: 2:30–6:30 p.m.

• Sunday: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Location: Studio Philyra, Hansaallee 321, Hall 2, 40549 Düsseldorf / Areal Böhler (between Café Böhler and Pizzeria La Strada).

What to bring:

• Work clothes—an apron is recommended, as it gets very dusty
• A bag or small box for the plaster mold

Separate sessions are also available for groups of 3–6 people.
