Pension Schöller - Der Komödienklassiker von Wilhelm Jacoby/Carl Laufs --- Eine Inszenierung des TheaterPACK

Retiree Philipp Klapproth is in the mood for some spectacular experiences in the big city—ones he can use to impress his friends at his regulars' table back home in the provinces. When he hears about what an extravagant experience soirées at a mental hospital are, he asks his nephew Alfred to take him to one.
 
Alfred, whose business plans depend on the financial support of his wealthy uncle, has no idea how to pull this off and turns to his friend Kissling for help. Kissling has the solution: to pass off the Schöller Guesthouse as the place in question. Although its guests aren’t mentally ill, they’re all so eccentric that they could easily pass for lunatics.
So the three find themselves at a social gathering at the aforementioned family-run guesthouse, and both Klapproth’s “misinterpretation” of the events and the thoroughly eccentric quirks of the guesthouse’s residents spark a flurry of the most absurd situations. Amid this panopticon of supposed asylum inmates—from the would-be actor with a speech impediment to the irascible retired major to the drama-obsessed writer—Klapproth is torn between sheer amusement and sheer terror.
He returns home thoroughly satisfied—unaware that the final chapter of his big-city adventure is still to come …
