Open Air Konzert mit George John
In the organizer's words:
George Johncame from a classical piano background, taught himself jazz and music production, and found his musical home in acid jazz. After years of playing the piano, he discovered improvisation as a way to create music in the moment—radical immediacy instead of fake “sync button” sounds.
The Schweinfurt-born musician has released music internationally on cassette and vinyl, been played on Worldwide FM, performed at the 2020 Melt Festival, and been reviewed by 5mag (Chicago) and Juno Records. Collaborations include work with Delfonic, Rhode & Brown, Donald Dust, Anton Mangold, Le Trente Trois, and KX9000. Over 40 tracks have been released on labels such as Kommerz Gbr, Gettogether Collective, Blaq Numbers, Ten Lovers Music (UK), and XJazz Music.
With his approach, John challenges the dogmas of industrialized mood music and its listening habits. In a rapidly changing music landscape characterized by technical, economic, and perfectionist functionality, he seeks to create a contrast through ethereal, spontaneous, emotional, and evolving improvised tracks.
Free admission. Donations for the musicians are welcome.
