In the organizer's words:
To open our open-air season, we start with a classic romcom that was to spawn three more sequels: BRIDGET JONES transposes the premise of Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" to London in the early 2000s. Instead of society's expectations of marriage, those of a single woman in her 30s are subjected to a satirical gaze - and we get to witness Hugh Grant and Colin Firth vying for Bridget's favor along the way. In the "Reel Love" event series (formerly "Dystopian Dating"), ReSee Movies presents films dedicated to the difficulties of romantic life. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to critically discuss the films, get into conversation and maybe even meet someone.
