Oberbaum
The Belgian sings in English, French and German, making piano indie pop with blurred sound textures and a penchant for joyful melancholy. Oberbaum is the project of Brussels-based artist Lucie Rezsöhazy, which combines alt-pop and gentle defiance.
Oberbaum's second album "I Should Be Softer" was produced by Frankie Cosmos and will be released on 2.9.26. Somewhere between lo-fi reverie and emotional precision, it sounds like a heartfelt invitation to feel weird - but in good company.

You just have to believe hard enough that you can't write songs. Then it REALLY doesn't work. Miracle number one: suddenly they just tumble out of Philipp all by themselves. Songs with German-language lyrics that radiate a hundred years of enthusiasm for artists like Teenage Fanclub, Ben Folds, Echt and Phoebe Bridgers. Miracle number two: piano friend Samuel. Miracle number three: Philipp's daughter Marlene and the most beautiful guitar in the world.
Goldsophie won the Würzburg Singer Songwriter Contest in 2025.
