Nordsee im Umbau – A Topography of Change
In the organizer's words:
The North Sea coast is facing profound changes. Rising sea levels, storm surges, and environmental pressures are challenging conventional planning paradigms. Through critical mapping and spatial strategies, the exhibition initiates an in-depth exploration of the North Sea coast as a space of constant transformation. Curated by faculty and students in architecture and urban design atJadeUniversity, the exhibition views the coast as a laboratory for regenerative urban design and devises new spatial strategies for a dynamic, evolving landscape.
On display are results from the Regenerative Urban Design department (Prof. Dr.Radostina Radulova-Stahmer) from three courses in the current semester, a thesis in urban design, video recordings, and a work created specifically for this exhibition by Italian photographerAlessandroCristofoletti, who explores the relationship between people and landscape.
Prof. Dr.Radostina Radulova-Stahmerwill give a lecture at the opening event, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Prof. Dr.Christian von Wissel, featuringadditional guests and students. In addition, there will be a guided tour of the exhibition led by students from the Department of Architecture at Jade University of Applied Sciences in Olmstedt.
