NAHaufnahme: Markgrafen, Kaiser und Reichsheilige. Die Fürstengalerie im Alten Rathaus.
In the organizer's words:
For more than 450 years, 29 full-length portraits of Saxon rulers have been part of the historical decor of the Old Town Hall. Dressed in full armor, a prince-elector’s robe, or hunting attire, they greet visitors with self-confidence and an air of authority. But who were these noblemen (and noblewomen) really, and who is missing? Who were the painters? And what is an early Christian martyr doing in this illustrious company?
Guided tour with Ulrike Dura, curator of art history at the Leipzig City History Museum.
