"A total work of art," attested the *Süddeutsche Zeitung*; Laut.de described the wild Munich-based ensemble—which blends math jazz, avant-pop, and prog—as a mix of "Miles Davis and Meshuggah, Zappa and Zorn." For their latest album, *Witchy Activities And The Maple Death*, the band received the German Record Critics’ Award and was nominated for the German Jazz Prize in the Best Album category. Der Spiegel declared: “Their third, stunning album is a buzzing, edgy witches’ sabbath charged with feminist superpowers.”
Led by guitarist and composer Monika Roscher, the band shatters the boundaries of traditional big-band sounds. Brass arrangements shimmering in a thousand colors, rich guitar riffs, gripping live electronics, a wild rhythm section, and the 18 musicians’ joy of experimentation combine to create a unique musical rollercoaster ride.
