Michael Ehnert - Ritter auf verlorenem Posten
In the organizer's words:
Chivalry is a long-forgotten virtue.
But Michael Ehnert has rediscovered it. Whenever he encounters reprehensible vice and nasty injustice, he begins to speak in Old High German—as precise as it is unsuitable for Instagram—and advocates for the protection of the poor, the weak, and the oppressed.
Accompanying this modern knight is little Sascha, who has lost not only her donkey but also her faith in such things as a functioning society, democracy, the value of knowledge, wisdom, and the power of gentleness.
The well-read audience member recognizes *Ritter auf verlorenem Posten* for what it is: a modern adaptation of Miguel de Cervantes’ *Don Quixote*.
Following “Mein Leben” (German Cabaret Award), “HeldenWinter,” and “Das Tier in mir,” “Ritter auf verlorenem Posten” is now Ehnert’s fourth solo comedy play.
