Mercato - Pop-up Store & Kreativ-Workshops
In the organizer's words:
On June 30, Mercato am Rindermarkt opens its doors - a pop-up store and workshop space run by 22 Munich creatives. For three weeks, there will be locally designed and produced unique items for sale, free do-it-yourself workshops and community events.
Visitors will experience first-hand the original ideas that are being created in Munich. The offer and the program are designed by creatives from the fields of architecture, photography, graphics, illustration, coffee culture, fashion, furniture design and textiles.
Originality instead of interchangeability is the motto of Mercato. From June 30 to July 18, 2026, the pop-up store will present a unique offering: 24 people behind small Munich labels will put their products up for sale.
The creative ideas can be packed up directly: They include a new edition of the American Mahjong board game, sustainable lupin coffee, individually designed stationery products, calligraphy-inspired posters, Japanese prints, unique seating furniture, hand-woven textiles, children's clothing with a Munich print and feminist accessories.
If you want to get creative yourself, you can take part in one of the open, free workshops or community events at Mercato. The program between 30 June and 18 July 2026 ranges from crafts to discourse: there are workshops on monotype printing, weaving on a mini loom, calligraphy and textile design. If you want to join in the discussion, you can visit the pop-up café, the photo vernissage, the interactive design build installation and the panel discussion on sustainability communication.
The Mercato is a joint project of the residents of the Ruffinihaus Creative Hub.
