Magische Klangreise durch die Romantik
In the organizer's words:
Elisabeth Grube (1803–1877) & Katharina Diez (1809–1882)
Childhood as a poetic form of existence and the implicit appeal to adults to preserve nature as the foundation of this form of existence are hallmarks of Katharina Diez’s Romantic fairy tales. Her sister Elisabeth, with whom she wrote 38 books in her adopted home of Düsseldorf, chose love as the central motif of her poetry, whose themes extended far beyond the private sphere. The Siegerland literary trio—Ingeborg Längsfeld (recitation), Barbara Hoffeld (saxophone, flute), and Andreas Vitt (guitar) present a magical musical journey, the highlight of which is the premiere performance of a musical adaptation of a newly edited fairy tale by Katharina Diez.
At the Düsseldorf Central Library, 6:00 p.m. in the Stadtfenster.
In cooperation with Geschichtswerkstatt Düsseldorf e. V.
