Loma Prieta is a punk band from San Francisco, CA.
For nearly two decades, Loma Prieta have evolved right before our eyes. With each release,
they have elevated the post-punk subgenre to high art without losing sight of its
core. All of this serves as an artistic reflection of their personal growth amid the complex world
that surrounds us all.
"Last" was recorded by engineer Jack Shirley at Atomic Garden Studios (Deafheaven,
Gouge Away). It consists of eleven songs that took shape amid the turbulence the
world has collectively faced over the past few years. The emotional tension within
each track is palpable. At times, the music unfolds contemplatively with delicate melodies, while at others,
exploding with sonic violence. All give voice to the manic nature of the modern human
experience.
