On August 1, 1981, the first music video in history aired. And on August 1, 2026—45 years later—we’ll celebrate that very moment—live, on the banks of the Spree, with the woman who decided back then what you’d be listening to.
Silke Super—former head of music at MTV and VIVA—will be there. With her stories, her music, and her memories of an era that changed the world.
