Lied United am 11. Juni 2026

In the organizer's words:

Dreamy, dark and intimate

Lied United has three very different musical contributions on offer in June, but also three different and highly exciting line-ups - sometimes just bass and vocals, sometimes just piano and vocals and sometimes the vocals are carried by guitar and cello. And three times it will definitely be very intimate again in the Loreley pub.

In her youth, Lukrezia Krämer was strongly inspired by the German punk movement, which led to her picking up the electric bass at an early age. Now, years later, she has developed her own style, with calm and warm vocals accompanied only by her bass.

Her lyrics are inviting stories about the human experience, emphasizing the darker side of human existence, but sung in such a gentle way that even these convey a hopeful message. Dreamy, sombre and fundamentally honest, she slowly draws you into her own world with her intimate minimal dark folk.

Matthias Ebbing has been writing songs on the piano since he was a teenager, now he is returning to this old form after years of playing in bands, electronic music and cabaret. One voice, one piano. Reminiscences of Billy Joel, Joe Jackson and Steely Dan can be heard, and yet Ebbing's songs always have their own touch. They groove, are powerful and tender, catchy and clearly rooted in pop. Nevertheless, they avoid the all-too-common clichés and find unusual twists and turns. Ebbing describes in his songs, sometimes in German, sometimes in English, the absurdities and everyday occurrences that he and we all encounter.

The series will be opened in June by Who Is Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf?, the band of Lied United presenter Wolfgang A. Noethen. The singer/songwriter creates highly melodious, wistful indie folk songs with radiantly beautiful melodies, sometimes alone with guitar, banjo, harmonica and theremin, this time as a duo with cellist Hanna Beul and certainly also new songs from the upcoming album.
