Eléna Zay first studied in Düsseldorf and Nantes, then pursued creative writing in Hildesheim and completed an internship as a journalist. Today she lives with her family in Cologne.
In her books, Eléna aims to take her readers on adventures—journeys through multi-layered worlds and compelling stories that draw them in, bringing them up close to the characters.
Eléna’s work has already earned her a spot on the shortlist for the Phantastik Authors’ Network (PAN) scholarship.
On the literary podcast “LieblingsLIT,” Eléna Zay and book blogger Linda König discuss life in the literary world, books, and all kinds of book gossip, and regularly invite other writers and literary professionals for interviews.
On September 3, 2026, they’ll discuss Eléna’s debut together and celebrate the book launch at manulit.
