"Whether (semi-)professional or amateur, whether poems, short stories or simply thoughts, dreams and memories - it doesn't matter. Anyone invited by the organizer is allowed ten minutes. And the stories are just like the name of the pub where the "Lesebühne" is held: "Wundertüte". Touching stories about the suicide of a friend, Cologne crime stories or comedy. And sometimes also trivial things.

For the audience that has come, this evening is like an adventure trip. A glimpse into unknown worlds. A short ten minutes, illuminated as if by a spotlight with a glaring light, which then suddenly changes position again and shows something new. Often interrupted by loud laughter."
