At a Greek chicken farm, a black-feathered and particularly clever chick hatches and sets out into the big, wide world. After a rendezvous at a gas station with a hungry fox, it hitches a ride on a truck and experiences the most bizarre adventures.

Award-winning director György Pálfi tells the story of their sometimes complicated coexistence in a compelling way and with a brilliant artistic device: The film is both the emancipated autobiography of a grain-pecking chicken and a highly original story about the adventure of storytelling.
