Lange Nacht der Museen im Ephraim-Palais

Under the theme “Crime in Berlin,” a summery mix of culture, cocktails, and music awaits you inside and outside the museum.

Late into the night, you can take the stage outside and sing along to the coolest songs on the theme of “crime”—hosted and charmingly accompanied by our karaoke hosts Nancy Nutter and Oozing Gloop. Or just sing, dance, and cuddle along!
 
In the museum’s salon, you’ll hear live performances of Kurt Weill’s lesser-known chansons about the night creatures and the gray areas of the big city. In between, you can have an AI generate a mug shot of yourself to take home as a souvenir.

Here, you’ll become the face of the criminal underworld: Take your own wanted poster photo and see how AI turns you into a “suspect”! Snapshot, mugshot, printout—your own personal crime moment to take home.

On the Run with “Pitty”
In keeping with the theme “Crime in Berlin,” a GDR-era “Pitty” scooter is transformed into a selfie station. Take advantage of this unique opportunity for a fast-paced snapshot—a picture that will last a lifetime.

Crime Case: Old Berlin
On the trail of crime! Museum curator Gernot Schaulinski leads a tour through the permanent exhibition BerlinZEIT. There, he leads the investigation into objects from the early centuries of the city’s history.

Kurt – The Night, the Noise, the Song
Between the underworld and big-city melancholy: Singer Melanie Schmidli and guitarist Martino Dessi perform lesser-known songs by Kurt Weill, blending jazz and chanson. The songs deal with power, loneliness, and seduction, as well as the figures of the night and the gray areas of the big city.

Sing Your Song – Join-In Karaoke!
You can perform crime songs from our extensive karaoke catalog to suit your taste—from “I Fought the Law” to “Bonnie and Clyde” to “Smooth Criminal.” Drag queens Nancy Nutter and Oozing Gloop will help you choose a song and host the event.
