LAGRIMAS (Melodic Crust - Screamo / Los Angeles), SOASTASPHRENAS (Emoviolence / Berlin)

SOASTASPHRENAS... is a loud emo-violence/screamo band (sad & violent noise) from Berlin. The four-piece band was founded in early 2022 and consists of members from Cyprus and the U.S.: Mark, Chris, Alex, and Nate. “Σώας τας φρένας” (soas tas phrenas) is an old Greek expression from the 18th century that generally describes someone as “in their right mind”—or mentally healthy. 

Known for their high-energy live performances and their DIY attitude,soastasphrenas are already playing all over Europe—sometimes they even transport their equipment by train to make their shows possible. They’ve already shared the stage with some of the scene’s biggest names, including Saetia, pageninteynine, Birds In Row, Raein, Frail Body, Jeromes Dream, Stormø, Shizune, Nuvolascura, Massa Nera, Chalk Hands, Republic of Dreams, and Tenue—and are in high demand at DIY festivals across Europe.

In January 2023, they released their debut album “Moirae”; originally available only on streaming platforms and cassette, it was later released on vinyl in collaboration with Dancing Rabbit Records to mark the first anniversary of its release. The first pressing sold out within the same year.
