La Sécurité

La Sécurité (Montréal/Tiohtià:ke) is a collective whose art-punk consists in equal parts of edgy beats, offbeat arrangements, and minimalist melodic hooks—all run through a sleepless filter—the result of excessive exposure to the city’s neon lights. The music is all about living dangerously and is perfect for blasting on dance floors; meanwhile, the lyrics share the ethos of the Riot Grrrl movement and celebrate the self-empowerment of women, friends (both mean and nice), and goodwill.

Since forming in the spring of 2022, they’ve been invited to high-profile events like SXSW, End of the Road, The Great Escape, and Reeperbahn, and have also toured with The Go! Team (2024) and The Rapture (2025).

Following the release of their debut album*Stay Safe!*—which was longlisted for the 2024 Polaris Music Prize—as well as its cheerful spin-off*Stay Safe! REMIXED—the quintet released the singles “Detour” and “Ketchup” via Mothland, paving the way for a new wave of DIY musical gems. This time around, they’re also collaborating with Simon Raymonde’s influential British label Bella Union.

Thus, the eclectic group continues to navigate the fringes of punk, New Wave, and Krautrock, playfully subverting every stylistic norm—with their second album,*Bingo!*, set for release on June 12, 2026, via Bella Union (worldwide) and Mothland (Canada/U.S.).
