Klaus Zehelein: Unerhörte Augenblicke

Together with editor Günther Heeg, Klaus Zehelein will present his autobiography Unerhörte Augenblicke, which was published by Theater der Zeit to mark his 85th birthday in 2025. The event will be moderated by Thomas Koch, former press spokesman for the Theaterakademie.

Klaus Zehelein directed the Bayerische Theaterakademie August Everding from 2006 to 2014 and turned it into an international place of learning and experience, where the joint interdisciplinary reinterpretation of text and music took center stage.

As a visionary dramaturge, meticulous thinker, pragmatic artistic director, passionate mediator, inspiring academic teacher and president of the German Stage Association, Klaus Zehelein shaped the development of musical theater like no other for half a century. For this, he was awarded the German Theater Prize DER FAUST in 2023.

The event will be followed by a book signing.
