Klappstuhlkino: Soul Kitchen
In the organizer's words:
Germany | 2009 | Comedy | 99 min. Directed by Fatih Akin
Bar owner Zinos is plagued by bad luck: first, his girlfriend Nadine moves to Shanghai for a new job, then he suffers a herniated disc. When, in his desperation, he hires the eccentric top chef Shayn, even his already sparse regulars suddenly stop coming. And as if that weren’t enough, his slightly criminal brother Illias shows up and asks him for help. While Zinos is still figuring out how to get rid of the bar so he can follow Nadine to China, the music and the unique menu attract more and more of the trendy crowd. “Soul Kitchen” is rocking and booming like never before. But then events come thick and fast.
Every Friday night from July 10 through August 14, it’s movie time!
Set against the historic walls of the honey factory and the maritime charm of the Vering Canal, our movie nights are back. Look forward to a carefully curated selection of films, fresh popcorn, and culinary treats that make for the perfect movie night! And that’s true no matter the weather, because our courtyard is protected by a large sail canopy in case of bad weather! Blankets are also available just in case. So see, hear, smell, taste, and enjoy the summer together with lots of nice people and cinema for all the senses!
Free admission. (Donations welcome)
