For decades, percussionistLimpe Fuchshas been one of the most inventive sound artists on the international experimental music scene. Her extraordinary sound installations and self-built instruments are crafted from materials such as bronze, granite, and hardwood, and demonstrate a rare sensitivity to unexpected interactions and spontaneous sonic developments.

Since his debut on Raster-Noton,Grischa Lichtenbergerhas charted a unique course through digital music, transforming technological scrap into delicate sonic structures. His music navigates the turbulent intersection between abstraction and tactility and brims with the unpredictable energy of a hard drive on the verge of failure.

The three Kiezsalon concert evenings at the Academy of Arts are a project byDigital in Berlinin collaboration with the Academy of Arts’Studio for Electroacoustic Music. Kiezsalon

Since 2015, Kiezsalon has provided a forum for innovative musical activities that transcend genre boundaries. As an interface between the avant-garde, innovative pop music, and interdisciplinary art, the series presents compact performances by artists of diverse genres, backgrounds, and statuses. Today, it is considered unique in the German independent music scene for its focus and continuity and has established itself as one of the city’s most popular and successful music series.

Since 2020, the Kiezsalon has benefited from a four-year funding program from the Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion, which provides planning and financial security through 2027. The concerts are usually sold out and regularly feature a high number of Berlin premieres—often more than 70% per year. In this way, the Kiezsalon makes a significant contribution to raising the profile of new artistic perspectives.
