Kiezgourmet: Käse, Wein und Fine Dining rund um den Savignyplatz

Savignyplatz in Charlottenburg. This is where Berlin celebrates strolling. And so our culinary neighborhood tour begins with a special chef: Arne Anker (photo) was sous-chef at Sergio Hermann’s The Jane, which was considered one of the best restaurants in the world. Anker’s own restaurant, Brikz, is at least one of the best in Berlin. So we’ll start with the main course. And afterward, we’ll celebrate the artisanal quality of French foods at Augusta Savignyplatz: cheese, pâté, cider.  A lesson in contemporary wine culture—perfect for those eager to explore—follows, just across Kantstraße, at the Viniculture wine shop, which has long been famous far beyond Berlin. And since this evening should also have its sweet side, we’ll wrap it up with a crêpe Suzette at Manon, the brasserie run by The Duc Ngo at the Hotel am Steinplatz.
