Stand-up comedy is booming, and we’re celebrating it. A fearless group of young comedians is taking live stages and the internet by storm—Kampf der Künste brings the most explosive acts to the stage of the Elbphilharmonie. Masterful comedians offer bizarre perspectives on our perfectly normal, completely crazy world. Bittersweet punchlines about small joys, great misery, and endless inadequacy. Or simply wonderfully honest voices that everyone should hear. 
The stand-up scene is fresher and more vibrant than it’s been in a long time—with the KDK Stand Up Day, we’re dedicating an entire day to it for the first time, with two live shows in the Elbphilharmonie’s main hall at its heart.

There are comedy artists who truly embody legendary status—whether through their massive tours, their unique stage presence, their biting humor, or because they’ve hosted the Eurovision Song Contest. These are people who once tested their jokes in smoky basement clubs and now have to wait for the standing ovations to die down before they can finally start their sets.
