Strictly speaking, Jesse Cotton Stone was struck by the blues and rock twice. The first time was when he heard Jimi Hendrix, taught himself to play guitar, and set out on his musical journey.

The second time was when he hung out with the Kimbrough family in the state of Mississippi and immersed himself in the North Mississippi Hill Country blues.

He quickly became a local insider’s favorite there.

His shows—usually accompanied by a drummer or performed as a one-man band—are rousing and hypnotic. 

Last year, he came to Europe for the first time and headlined the Crississippi Blues Festival in Switzerland.

Impressed by his experiences and the connections he made, he’s returning to Europe this year.
