Ist Schreiben schon Handlung? (Lesung & Schreibworkshop)

In the organizer's words:

Is writing already action? Is reading already action? Can text change our lives and the lives of others? Do we have to write 'differently' and how do we make our writing effective? What spaces do we find together in which text and memory connect us and move us into action? How do we feel affected, self-effective and ultimately empowered to move from writing to action? Can the world, the city, the neighborhood be changed to some extent through writing?

In a reading by Anne Sophie Kapsner, we will approach the themes of grief and loss scenically. We will also talk with Anne about the (im)possibilities of creating spaces of togetherness in and through text and art.

In a writing workshop with Djami Struck, we will rehearse ourselves: Can I act through my writing? How can I become directly active? How can I get involved through writing? Whether letters against loneliness, flyer guerrillas or messages to members of parliament: we collect initiatives and contact points in and with which text becomes socially effective. The workshop provides impulses, examples and space to practise committed writing and take it into your own everyday life.

Anne Sophie Kapsner (she / they), director and author
Anne Sophie Kapsner lives in Munich and works as a director for theater, author and artistic researcher. After studying theater studies and language, literature, culture (with a focus on Swedish), she studied directing in Frankfurt am Main. Anne's interdisciplinary works are located in the border area of documentary, drama and pop aesthetics. Her starting point, especially when writing, is usually biographical events.

i am djami and i think writing is a space to find words, even if you feel speechless at first, a space for empowerment and to stand up for a fairer world.
