ILAN AMORES
In the organizer's words:
ILAN AMORES is the alternative troubadour who took cumbia by storm and infused it with poetry and endless stories. With a magnetic and disruptive identity, he fuses cumbia, rock, and punk—one of his deepest roots—to forge a unique musical language that bridges the classic and the modern, the local and the universal. His music has already touched the hearts of icons like Damas Gratis, Andrés Calamaro, and Manu Chao, and today he leaves the new names on the scene speechless.
Raised in Misiones, Argentina, Ilan is a multi-instrumentalist and composer. After an extensive career as the bassist for the punk band Argies, in 2017 he established himself as a solo artist and began shaping his own style, featuring sensitive and raw lyrics that interact with electronic and alternative rhythms. His releases have solidified his artistic identity and strengthened his connection with his audience.
In 2024, he released *Caballo Negro*, the album that marked a turning point in his career and positioned him as one of the new leading figures of Argentine alternative cumbia. His sold-out performance at Niceto Club confirmed the power of his live show and ushered in a phase of international exposure, with invitations from Andrés Calamaro and Manu Chao, as well as his participation in “La Velada del Año V,” organized by Ibai Llanos.
During his 2025 tour of Europe, Ilan accompanied Manu Chao on shows throughout Spain and Italy and headlined ten sold-out shows in several of the Old Continent’s major cities. Back in Argentina, he once again sold out Niceto Club and headed into 2026, where he will continue to tour the stage, solidifying his place as the new king of alternative cumbia.
