Igor Levit is one of today’s most distinguished interpreters of Beethoven. To kick off his cycle, he presents four famous sonatas that bring to life the diversity and depth of Beethoven’s oeuvre. Levit’s pianistic brilliance is combined with a clear aesthetic approach: he views music as a discursive process that is meant not only to be experienced emotionally but also to be grasped intellectually.
