HOLIDAY ON ICE: MIRAGE

HOLIDAY ON ICE stands for world-class figure skating, spectacular visual worlds, and iconic live entertainment. In the new show MIRAGE, a festival atmosphere and glamour blend with world-class international sports. Dynamic sets with immersive elements, stunt figure skating, and spectacular aerial acrobatics come together to celebrate a festival on ice. On March 20 and 21, 2027, the popular figure skating show will make four appearances in Cologne-Deutz at the LANXESS arena.

For over 80 years, HOLIDAY ON ICE has been thrilling millions of spectators worldwide with outstanding figure skating and ever-changing show themes. With MIRAGE, the world’s most successful ice show combines its traditional strengths with a modern festival aesthetic. For the first time, action-packed stunt skating plays a central role, bringing a whole new dimension of speed, dynamism, and adrenaline to the ice. Together with impressive ensemble scenes, top international athletes create unforgettable “wow” moments.

In MIRAGE, audiences are transported to the event of the year: a legendary festival at an exclusive island resort. In this dazzling world of flashbulbs and big dreams, the star of the evening discovers that true friendships are the real key to happiness. The elite of ice entertainment transports audiences into a modern, visually stunning world of figure skating—featuring wild costume designs, spectacular lighting, immersive stage elements, and dynamic backdrops.

Creative Director Robin Cousins creates an extraordinary feast for the senses with MIRAGE. Cousins, himself an Olympic champion and figure skating legend, opens the doors to a whole new dimension of figure skating with this show. Once again, Mark Naylor joins him as choreographer. The powerhouse duo of Cousins and Naylor is already a well-established team: the two staged the HOLIDAY ON ICE ’ hit show HORIZONS.
