heimkino: WILDE ERDBEEREN (OmU)

A day in the life of a 78-year-old medical professor who rediscovers his past on his way to Lund, Sweden, where he is to receive an award. The stops along the journey become, through dreams, visions, and flashbacks, milestones in a life in review; as he revisits places from his childhood and encounters relatives, he comes to understand with increasing clarity the root of his emotional detachment, isolation, emotional hardening, and fear of death.

"heimkino." is a project in collaboration with Flugmodus GmbH, creating a home for the community of film and cinema lovers in the trendy Ehrenfeld neighborhood. As part of this new series, we bring classic films and lesser-known masterpieces back to the big screen every Wednesday. Each month is dedicated to a common overarching theme. Through this, we aim to offer the audience different cinematic perspectives on the same topic, find answers together, and ask new questions. We look forward to seeing you!
