Free family time right in the heart of Munich:
Happy Family invites families, children, and friends to the Antikensammlung lawn at Königsplatz—open to all, relaxed, and no registration required.

Happy Family is the free family program as part of the Kinoliebe Summer Festival at Königsplatz.

📍 When & where?

Dates: July 9–13 and July 16–19, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM each day.
Happy Family will be closed on July 14 and 15.

Location: Antikensammlung lawn at Königsplatz in Munich.
The grounds are open to the public; no registration is required for the family program.

🎪 What to Expect

A free daily program featuring a hands-on circus for kids, balloon art, giant soap bubbles, a large play area, a raffle for kids, daily shows and surprises, as well as face painting on select days.

Plus, food trucks, ice cream, popcorn, cold drinks, and a large beer garden for a relaxing family day at Königsplatz.

The playground is one of the highlights: Children and families can borrow games for free and play together right on the lawn.

Over 20 games, sports, and creative activities are planned:
• Soccer and XXL soccer
• Mini-golf, badminton, and sack races
• Obstacle course, throwing games, and games of skill
• Giant soap bubbles, painting, and arts and crafts
• Kids’ tattoos, board games, and family games
• Little surprises

Supervised hours:
Thursday starting at 5:00 p.m.
Friday starting at 3:00 p.m.
Saturday starting at 12:00 p.m.
Sunday starting at 12:00 p.m.
Monday from 5:00 p.m.

Admission and the children’s program remain free. If you’d like to support Happy Family, you can purchase a drink pass online.

By doing so, you’ll help ensure that free activities for families can continue in the future—and you’ll receive additional drink credit as a thank-you.

ℹ️ Important

The drink pass is valid for drinks in the festival beer garden and at the drink stands. It is not an admission ticket, a reservation, or a guarantee of entry.

Food trucks, food, ice cream, popcorn, and movie tickets are not included.

Happy Family is part of the Kinoliebe Summer Festival from July 9–19 at Königsplatz in Munich: family programming during the day, open-air cinema, podcasts, concerts, and a large beer garden in the evenings.
