Gravel Ground

From 26 to 28 September 2025, the top gravel event will return to Herten with a new name and new organizer.

The Ewald colliery with the Hoheward spoil tip in Herten will be transformed into a huge playing field for the national and international gravel scene.

In the midst of impressive industrial culture, the "Gravel Ground by Maxxis" event attracts visitors for three days with an attractive expo, many racing formats, an extensive, free touring program as well as workshops and culinary highlights.

The who's who of the gravel scene will be gathering on the grounds of the Ewald colliery in Herten. The latest trends and bikes can be tried out and intensively tested directly on the neighboring Hoheward slag heap and the surrounding gravel tracks.
