To mark the tenth anniversary of his debut album “Avrakadavra,” the Cologne-based musician decided—following his biggest tour to date in 2023—that his next step should be something special: bringing the project to a close.
“It’s surreal, but apparently I’ve managed to wrest the freedom from this world for ten years now to do what felt right to me. And my gut is telling me very clearly that I don’t want to miss the opportunity to remember this entire chapter as something I was willing to end with the same uncompromising spirit with which we made the record back then.
It’s been a cool run that doesn’t deserve to become routine—and it would be nice to hear the songs one last time with people who’ve been with them for just as many years as I have.”
