Ghirigori feat. Dan Kinzelman (Artist in Residence)

In the organizer's words:

Ghirigori is a quartet founded at the Hamburg University of Music and Performing Arts (HfMT), which was formed from different artistic and personal backgrounds. The focus is on the joint search for new sounds. The interplay between the four musicians gives rise to special timbres and unusual compositional forms. The mixture of two electric instruments processed with effects and two acoustic instruments ensures tonal diversity and a wide range. The result is haunting, sometimes disturbing soundscapes. For this occasion, the ensemble will be joined by Dan Kinzelman, a versatile multi-instrumentalist who moves between traditional jazz and contemporary and experimental music.
