In the organizer's words:
Barsinghausen Health Fair on September 6, 2026
On September 6, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Am Spalterhals School Center will open its doors for the eighth time to host the Barsinghausen Health Fair, a free event that brings together people of all ages to focus on key topics related to health, prevention, and well-being. Experts, volunteers, and companies from Barsinghausen and the surrounding region invite visitors to engage in dialogue and offer practical insights into modern health solutions.
Visitors can expect a diverse range of offerings that address current everyday challenges and provide personalized solutions.
Topics of focus include health screenings, nutrition and diabetes counseling, nutrient level tests, circulatory disorders, support for physical and mental health conditions, digestive issues, hearing loss, and vitamin deficiencies. Various expert presentations on different health topics will take place concurrently.
Annette Pulvermüller will provide information on weight management and nutrient level testing. In her presentation “Your Journey to a HEALTHY BODY” at 2:00 p.m., she will highlight ways to achieve and maintain a healthy weight and support metabolism.
Sondra Manuela Parlayan, a nutrition and diabetes counselor as well as a Nordic walking instructor, will speak starting at 1:30 p.m. on the topic “Diabetes After 50? What Really Matters Now!” With her expertise and personalized guidance, she helps people bring more balance and well-being into their daily lives.
The services offered by Veith and Simone Schröder also demonstrate just how closely nutrition and health are linked. Through their holistic counseling, they place a special emphasis on gut health. With targeted support and a comprehensive supply of essential nutrients, they help people regenerate and strengthen their gut.
In line with the topic of gut health, a balanced diet also plays an important role. The right balance of certain—and above all, fresh—foods can lead to a better figure, more energy, and greater balance in life. But which foods pair particularly well together, and what alternative “kitchen aids” can help with preparation? Visitors can find out at the booth of Janina Vaske from Gehrden, who will share her cooking and baking ideas and offer special recipes for athletes.
“Am I actually healthy?”—Many people ask themselves this question, but a precise answer is often elusive. The Althea Support Association, a network of health experts, offers a personalized assessment. Under the motto “Health—Do It Yourself,” a personalized wellness plan is developed through a well-being analysis. The experts explain how conventional medical approaches can be meaningfully integrated into daily life to promote one’s own health. Carolin Tusche-Fahnauer and Evelin Haake-Beißner will provide fascinating insights into how the health network operates during their keynote presentation at 1:00 p.m.
Furthermore, physical performance can also be affected by poor blood circulation. In this context, a Liechtenstein-based company has developed various treatment devices that stimulate blood circulation through physical vascular therapies. Visitors will have the opportunity to try a full-body treatment using various modules designed to improve blood circulation. At 2:30 p.m., Thomas Ruminski will discuss the secrets of microcirculation in his keynote presentation.
Jens and Nina Köhler provide holistic support to help people on their journey toward better health and quality of life. They view the human being as a unity of body and mind and work with various approaches that incorporate, among other things, the nervous system and internal processes. In their talk “Your Body Is Speaking to You—What Message Does Your Symptom Hold?” at 12:30 p.m., they’ll offer fascinating insights into their work.
When ailments or illnesses persist in daily life over an extended period, this can also disrupt emotional balance. Tanja Schael, a naturopathic practitioner specializing in psychotherapy, will therefore present her services in psychological counseling and various relaxation techniques. These can support people dealing with stress, burnout, depression, relationship problems, and other psychological challenges. As an adoptive and foster mother, she has a unique perspective on parent-child conflicts. These experiences will also be incorporated into her talk at 12:00 p.m., “Biographical Work: No Roots, No Wings.”
Well-being arises from the interplay of inner balance and external care. Visitors can learn how these two elements can be harmoniously combined from exhibitors in the field of holistic beauty and relaxation. Among other things, the event will feature quantum-modular vibrational cosmetics, which aim to support the skin’s natural balance. The offerings are complemented by the world of essential oils, whose natural fragrances can contribute to relaxation, harmonization, and self-care.
A central theme of the health fair is, above all, the area of independent living and mobility. To this end, useful everyday aids will be presented that assist with shopping or enable barrier-free living spaces.
Older adults, in particular, gain additional security in their own homes through supplementary aids such as in-home emergency response systems or 24-hour mobile care and support services.
Many experts also offer practical tips and advice on local fitness programs, drinking water treatment, air and room purifiers, hearing and dental health, health insurance, and proper nutrition for dogs.
The first 20 visitors will receive a surprise bag filled with gift certificates, product samples, and practical everyday aids.
