Geschichte spielend verstehen! Der Ost-West-Konflikt im 20. Jahrhundert. Seminar mit Dr. Sabine Grabowski (GHH)
In the organizer's words:
Registration deadline: August 31
Historical contexts are often complex, and some decisions made in the past are difficult to understand today. One way to gain an understanding of historical events is through a playful engagement with history. Within the safe environment of a game, past decision-making situations can be reenacted and their circumstances explored. Using various board games from both East and West, we aim to examine the unique circumstances of the 20th century and understand the systemic conflict that shaped the century. Following a historical introduction to the respective topic, we will play a variety of board games—some complex, others curious—together and examine their relevance to the history of the East-West conflict. A visit to the new permanent exhibition at the Haus der Geschichte in Bonn rounds out the program.
