Gentle Reminder kehrt zum vierten Mal ins Paloma zurück, diesmal im Rhythmus der Jahreszeit. Mit dem Einzug des Frühsommers verabschieden wir uns vom Nachmittags-Tea-Dance-Format zugunsten eines späteren Starts und einer intimeren Atmosphäre: eine Tanzfläche, Beginn um 17:00 Uhr, mit längerem Ausklang.

Gegründet von Robert Yang (Bézier, ehemaliger Mitinhaber von Honey Soundsystem in San Francisco), Lennard (Len.Leo) und Chris Moore (electroponce, Veranstalter der Seattler Events High+Tight und FANCYFEAST), entstand Gentle Reminder aus einer einfachen Idee: Tanzflächen zu schaffen, die sich warm und offen für alle anfühlen. Das heute in Deutschland ansässige Trio lässt sich von der Tradition amerikanischer Gay Tea Dances inspirieren – von den Continental Baths über San Franciscos End Up bis zum I-Beam.

Im Kern dreht sich Gentle Reminder um Bewegung als Form der Verbindung. Jede Ausgabe lädt Künstlerinnen und Künstler aus verschiedenen Communities und Hintergründen ein, den Raum durch Klang zu gestalten – und so Momente der Intimität, des Loslassens und unerwarteter Gemeinsamkeit zu schaffen.

Gentle Reminder returns to Paloma for its fourth edition, this time shifting with the season. As we settle into early summer, we’re moving from the afternoon tea dance format for a later start and a more intimate approach: one dance floor, beginning at 17:00, and going later. Founded by Robert Yang (Bézier, former co-owner of San Francisco’s Honey Soundsystem), Lennard (Len.Leo), and Chris Moore (electroponce, organizer of Seattle’s High+Tight and FANCYFEAST events), Gentle Reminder was built around a simple idea: creating dance floors that feel warm and open to all. Now based in Germany, the trio draws inspiration from the lineage of American gay tea dances, from the Continental Baths to San Francisco’s End Up and I-Beam. At its core, Gentle Reminder is about movement as a form of connection. Each edition invites artists from different communities and backgrounds to shape the room through sound, creating moments of intimacy, release, and unexpected togetherness.
