After selling 45,000 tickets and playing sold-out open-air shows in Germany in the summer of 2026,Foreignerwill return to the country’s largest indoor arenasinOctober 2027 with their 50th Anniversary Arena Tour—featuringEurope as a special guest. In Munich, they will perform at the Olympiahalle on October 20, 2027. 

The 2027 tour is a direct continuation of the sold-out open-air tour celebrating the band’s anniversary and marks the first time this lineup will perform in the country’s largest venues. Swedish rock icons Europe will be joining as special guests—a combination that brings together two of the most enduring chapters of classic rock on one stage.

Tickets will be available starting Wednesday, June 10, at 10 a.m., exclusively throughCTS Eventim andMyTicket. 

General ticket sales begin on Friday, June 12, at 10 a.m.

Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2024, Foreigner boasts one of the most enduring repertoires in rock history: 10 multi-platinum albums, 16 Top 30 hits, and over 80 million records sold worldwide (source: Nielsen SoundScan). Songs like “Cold As Ice,” “Juke Box Hero,” “Urgent,” and “I Want To Know What Love Is”—the latter recently inducted into the Spotify Billions Club—are an integral part of the international classic rock canon.

The current lineup features frontman Luis Maldonado, who took over lead vocals in the fall of 2025 following Kelly Hansen’s departure, along with Jeff Pilson (bass), Michael Bluestein (keyboards), Bruce Watson (guitar), Chris Frazier (drums), and John Roth (guitar), continues the tour with a setlist ranging from their early hits of the 1970s to the legendary album *4*—which spent more time at No. 1 on the Billboard charts than any other album in the history of Atlantic Records.

The band’s enduring relevance is evidenced by recent placements in series such as *Stranger Things*, *Wednesday*, and *Euphoria*, as well as in films such as *Happy Gilmore 2*.

Europe will be joining the tour as the opening act—a combination with its own star power. Founded in 1979 in Upplands Väsby, the Swedish band led by frontman Joey Tempest is known for “The Final Countdown” (1986), one of the most-played rock tracks of all time, and will perform with its original lineup: Tempest (vocals), John Norum (guitar), John Levén (bass), Mic Michaeli (keyboards), and Ian Haugland (drums). For the 2027 Arena Tour, Europe will bring not only their classics but also their new studio album *Come This Madness*, set for release in late September 2026.

The Foreigner and Europe package will perform at Germany’s seven largest indoor arenas—venues that provide an appropriate setting for both bands’ lineups in terms of both production and reach. The switch from open-air to arena venues follows the sell-out of the entire 2026 tour and responds to demand that exceeded the originally planned summer shows.

 

The Youth Protection Act applies: Children under 6 years of age are not permitted to attend the event; children between 6 and (under) 14 years of age may attend only when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Children 14 years of age and older may attend the event unaccompanied.
