The moment when two voices intertwine perfectly is hard to explain and even harder to stage. In the case of First Aid Kit, this has seemed astonishingly natural for years. Johanna and Klara Söderberg have turned this naturalness into a career that defies quick categorization.

It all started unspectacularly: self-recorded songs, published online, an initial echo from the Swedish music scene. However, it soon became clear that there was more going on here than just youthful enthusiasm. With "The Big Black and The Blue", they presented a debut that revealed their preference for folk and country without losing themselves in it. The Lion's Roar" made it clear that First Aid Kit could not only quote their musical influences, but also transform them into something independent.

The real breakthrough came with "Stay Gold". Songs like "My Silver Lining" found an audience of millions without losing their quiet melancholy. This was followed by albums that opened up further: "Ruins" sounded more personal, rougher in places, while "Palomino" broadened the band's horizons and gave them their greatest reach to date.

However, what happens beyond the studio recordings is crucial. On tour, First Aid Kit's music unfolds with an intensity that is almost impossible to preserve. Their concerts thrive on clarity and closeness, on the interplay of two voices that give each other space and at the same time hold each other together. These are evenings in which the audience often noticeably pauses, not out of reverence, but because the music demands a concentration that has become rare in everyday life.

The fact that the sisters are always looking to exchange ideas is also evident in their collaborations, for example with P!NK or Conor Oberst. These encounters expand the framework without changing the core. First Aid Kit remain recognizable precisely because they cannot be pinned down.

The duo can also be seen in Germany for three concerts in the fall of 2026. On their "Visions Of The Past" tour, the name will be the program and fans can look forward to a comprehensive showcase of First Aid Kit's work.
