In the organizer's words:
Experiments for young researchers: Tricky tricks of nature
Why does water simply roll off some leaves? How can seeds sail through the air? And what does this have to do with technology?
Nature is full of ingenious ideas and clever tricks. Together we go on a journey of discovery and explore exciting survival strategies of animals and plants that we humans have copied, for example Velcro, the lotus effect, the flight behavior of plant seeds and much more. We try out, research and tinker in small experiments.
The workshop is aimed at children aged 8-12.
Participation is free of charge.
The workshop will be led by Dr. Barbara Kranz-Zwerger.
