Experimental Dance Jam

Experimental Jam is an open format for interdisciplinary improvisation. Dance, music, text, and visual art come together to form a spontaneous live composition. Following an introduction to improvisational scores and a group warm-up for both professional and non-professional artists, a two-hour performance emerges from the participants’ creative impulses in the space. The audience experiences the creative process firsthand and the fluid boundaries between performance and participation. The focus is on trust, openness to the unexpected, and collective creation. The project, initiated by Salomé Rodrigues, has previously been presented at venues including the Kunstbau.
