Eröffnung "Nach:Leben. Ein partizipatives Erinnerungsprojekt"
In the organizer's words:
We cordially invite you to the opening of the interactive art installation “NACH:LEBEN. A Participatory Remembrance Project” on July 4, 2026.
“NACH:LEBEN” is a mobile art installation created by artists Cana Bilir-Meier, Chana Boekle, and Silvia Troian in collaboration with survivors and victims of right-wing violence. It comprises 15 signs featuring custom-designed motifs created on the basis of in-depth conversations and interviews. The installation makes right-wing, racist, and anti-Semitic violence tangible as a structural phenomenon, while also commemorating the lives of those murdered and honoring the struggle of the survivors. An interactive station invites visitors to reproduce the motifs and carry them out into the urban space.
The opening begins on Saturday, July 4, at 3 p.m. at Georg-Freundorfer-Platz.
“NACH:LEBEN” is taking place as part of the City of Munich’s Public Art Focus Year. Following the opening, the installation will become a traveling exhibition. It will be on view at various locations in Munich throughout July.
