We’ll be sampling a wide variety of export beers on the grounds of the decommissioned Phoenix-West blast furnace plant—right in the very spots where the “hardworking shift workers” could only dream of their after-work beer. Why export beers, specifically? Because we’re thrilled by the incredible variety of flavors in these bottom-fermented beers, for which every brewery has its own recipe.

Four times during the tour, you’ll stop at carefully selected, fascinating spots on the grounds of this significant industrial heritage site to taste the export beers.

Throughout the tour, our two tour guides will entertain you with a mix of anecdotes, (historical) facts, and curious stories about the history and work at the former steel mill with its blast furnaces, about export beer, and about the structural changes in Dortmund and the Ruhr region...
