With our “Don Giovanni,” we’re bringing Mozart’s masterpiece to the legendary Ratinger Hof in Düsseldorf—one of the most unusual venues for opera. Our free adaptation of Mozart and Da Ponte’s “Don Giovanni” deliberately breaks with classical opera traditions. Singers, actors, the chorus, and piano merge into an intense live experience in which the audience is not merely meant to observe, but is actively drawn into the action—moving freely through the space, in close proximity to the characters, and liberated from conventional spatial boundaries. Format: Standing-room-only performance with movement—somewhere between opera, a night out at a club, and social intervention. A limited number of seats are available for people with special needs.
